OUR FOOD

The Drunken Monkey offers a selection of Dim Sum and some freshly prepared more substantial dishes.

Dim Sum are small dishes of steamed or fried food and where traditionally served in the afternoon to accompany tea.

Traditionally these dishes where only available between 11 am and 3pm in tea houses in Chinatown where families or friends would meet up and order a selection of dishes

to share while they caught up on the latest news. but because of their size we thought they would be the perfect accompaniment to having drinks, similar to the way the Spanish take Tapas.

If you would like something a bit more substantial then our kitchen has a selection of rice, noodle and soup dishes.

DRINKS

Many of The Drunken Monkey’s customers visit the place solely because of its extensive and fantastically named cocktails. These are priced at around £7 and include everything from your classic mojito and margarita to their own brand of Monkey themed drinks such as The Great Sage and Simian Features. The bar also serves a variety of martini cocktails, bellinis and shooters. All drinks are prepared with fresh ingredients so you may have to wait a while for your cocktail to be ready. However, watching them squeeze the fresh juices makes them taste all the more pleasurable when you take your first sip.

Where some cocktail bars neglect their choice of beer and wine, The Drunken Monkey doesn’t and there’s an extensive list of both. A pint of draught beer costs around £3.50 and there’s something to please everyone, with Czech beers like Staropramen served alongside Guinness and Rekorderlig Pear by draught. Bottled beers are at a similar price and include Asahi, Cusquena and Bohemia as well as White Shield and Blue Moon. The Drunken Monkey has regular promotions on drinks, including its infamous happy hour.

PARTIES

Due to the size of our kitchen parties we ask the dinner parties for 8 and over have our set menu.

The Drunken Monkey can cater for parties from 5 up to 150, we can offer a set

Banquet menu or just drinks canapés.
