Both hailing from South London Peter Ogston and Stephen Chan have developed their sound from influence’s from many of their experiences of the London club scenes from the early eighties jazz funk to electro to hip hop and then to the formidable late 80′s Acid House scene.
Both have a wide range in music and have finally emerged as Monophunk producing “wholesome” deep electronic House music.
Monophunk have been Drunken Monkey stalwarts since it opened its doors seven years ago. They spent most of last summer playing to European crowds in places like Ibiza, Sardinia and Copenhagen and still found time time to be instrumental in last summers revivals of secret outdoor parties when they joined forces with Wild-Music and DJ/Actor Jimi Mistry to put together last years wildly talked about Tabula Rasa Parties.
